Responsibilities

Provide MNIT DOT application and data support services for commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) and custom-built per the priorities set by the supervisor
Provide BA services for a software engineering team
Communicate, coordinate, deliver and/or resolve simple to complex application and data support service tasks to ensure MnDOT applications are supported per the application’s service level agreement, support model, and to the satisfaction of the MnDOT business partner

Required

Minimum of two (2) years of IT related experience in technical application support and development functions
Experience developing, configuring, troubleshooting, and supporting Commercial-off-the-Shelf (COTS), custom-built and middleware applications using the .NET framework, C# and Microsoft SQL Server
Experience designing and developing data structures and supporting queries and stored procedures
Experience working with and across multiple IT services (application, database, infrastructure, service desk)
Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively in a manner that facilitates mutual understanding
Customer-focused approach grounded in active listening, empathy, and solution-oriented problem-solving to deliver positive user experiences
Education in Information Technology (IT) or an IT related field may substitute for experience as follows: a master's degree for eighteen (18) months of experience; a bachelor's degree for one (1) year; and an associate's degree for six (6) months

Preferred

Knowledge of MNIT's services, standards, policies, and processes
Experience supporting transportation, traffic, or construction related applications/systems or data products
Strong skills in self-motivation, being a team player, being inclusive, developing rapport, networking, resolving conflict and negotiating diplomatically with others
Ability to effectively work directly with customers to identify, define, validate and prioritize user needs and requirements
