Responsibilities

Collaborate with team members to develop and provide educational programs in line with strategic priority areas
Assume the responsibility to occasionally represent the Executive Director/JCRC at meetings; provide support and guidance in the organization’s operations as it relates to programs like ordering, purchasing, facilities rentals
Being see as a competent leader in the community and representing JCRC in a positive light as we work throughout the Jewish and non-Jewish community is vital to our success as an organization

Required

Bachelor's degree in a related field
Three to five years of experience in a non-profit role which includes program development/management, creating budgets, planning events, and managing a team through a project or process
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Demonstrated accountability
Demonstrated experience in event planning and in non-profit marketing and communications
An ability to exhibit confidence when speaking publicly
A vibrant, entrepreneurial spirit with a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude
A strong track record as an implementer who thrives on managing a variety of key initiatives concurrently and can multi-task and prioritize
Ability to maintain focus and meet deadlines working both independently and with others in a fast-paced environment
Ability to adapt and apply skills to new and changing scopes of work
Flexibility, consideration, and a sense of humor
Eagerness for more responsibility and exposure to new challenges
Excitement about being part of an ambitious, growing, and quickly changing organization
Ability to work collaboratively with coalitions, community members, and local civic leaders to represent and successfully advocate for JCRC priorities
Facilitation and collaboration skills to manage committees of all sizes with the ability to schedule, set agendas, engage volunteers, and provide the required follow up
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint; databases; Basic Website updates - and possess the ability and willingness to maintain up-to-date technological skill levels
Strong experience with social media best practices (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn)
Knowledge of the Jewish community, its values, history, heritage, and culture

Preferred

Graduate degree a plus
Knowledge of the grantmaking landscape or a willingness to learn more about this aspect of our work is key
