Responsibilities
Development of 3D character models for the development of consumer products across multiple properties and product types
Preparing computer files accurately for appropriate manufacturing processes in accordance with client/vendor specifications
Archiving all project files within the standards established by the 3D Team
Operating and maintaining 3D printers for rapid prototyping and high-resolution 3D outputs for manufacturing
Contribute to new product ideas and participate in brainstorming sessions
Responsible for maintaining high character art standards
Qualification
Required
Demonstrate high-quality 3D modeling skills in ZBrush
Possess strong creative digital literacy in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
Understand the principles of cartooning and cartoon animation
Have a baseline knowledge of Character Art
Previous exposure to multiple mediums (sculpting, painting, and traditional/digital drawing)
Proven Strong concepting skills
Passion for Disney Characters and Storytelling and how it translates to products
Fresh and inventive creative problem solver
Understanding and awareness of marketplace trends
Able to present creative concepts in both formal and informal settings
A Portfolio submission that clearly demonstrates the ability to translate 2D concept to 3D
Currently enrolled as an Undergraduate student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Animation, Fine Arts, Graphic Design, or a related art field

Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship. Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program
Be at least 18 years of age
Possess unrestricted work authorization
Be compliant with The Disney Look appearance guidelines
Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
Fully available from Monday - Friday, 9 AM - 6 PM Eastern Time Zone for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week
Able to provide own housing for the duration internship program in the Orlando, FL area
Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work
Preferred
Proficiency in Cinema 4D
Proficiency in hard surface modeling in one of the following (Maya, Solidworks, Rhino3D)
