Responsibilities

Monitor production applications and systems to ensure uptime, performance, and availability
Troubleshoot and resolve incidents across application, database, infrastructure, and network layers
Perform root cause analysis on recurring issues and implement long‑term corrective actions
Support deployments, configuration changes, and release activities
Maintain and improve monitoring, alerting, and logging tools
Collaborate with development and QA teams to understand new features and potential operational impacts
Create and update runbooks, documentation, and knowledge articles
Participate in on‑call rotation and respond to high‑priority incidents
Work with infrastructure teams to address environment‑related issues (servers, storage, networking, integrations)
Ensure compliance with operational standards, security policies, and change management processes
Identify areas for automation to improve reliability and reduce manual intervention

Required

Experience supporting applications in production or mission‑critical environments
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
Familiarity with Linux/Windows servers, log analysis, and system monitoring tools
Basic understanding of databases (SQL/NoSQL), APIs, and application architecture
Experience with ticketing systems, incident management, and on‑call workflows
Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders

Preferred

Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Scripting/automation skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
Familiarity with CI/CD tools and release pipelines
Knowledge of container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
Understanding of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change Management)
