They are seeking a Cable Technician II who will support installation crews with tasks such as cable pulling, terminations, and basic troubleshooting under the direction of senior technicians.
Information Technology
Responsibilities
Pull, route, and secure CAT5/CAT6 and low-voltage cabling
Assist with terminating copper cabling under supervision
Help install ladder racks, J-hooks, cable trays, and cable support systems
Label cables, pathways, and equipment per project standards
Assist Level 2 and Lead Technicians with closet buildouts and device installs
Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas
Follow all company safety practices and OSHA guidelines
Qualification
Required
Basic knowledge of structured cabling systems preferred but not required
Familiarity with hand tools and test equipment a plus
Willingness to learn cable termination, fiber handling, and rack installation
Strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude
OSHA 10 certification preferred (or ability to obtain)
Ability to pull cable, work from ladders, and maneuver in ceilings and tight spaces
Lift 50 lbs and assist in moving materials up to 75 lbs
Ability to differentiate cable colors and read basic labels
Regular attendance and ability to travel locally
