Responsibilities
Review of Vendor Add/Change requests and updates to the Vendor record through the Master Data Governance (MDG) tool
Contact the Vendor over the phone or through email, if necessary
Obtain banking from vendors related to electronic payment rejects
Collection of Vendor W-9 forms and verification through the IRS TIN Matching program
Collection of Vendor W-8 forms, verification of accurate completion, annual review of form set to expire
Collection of appropriate information from Vendors for Extended Withholding purposes Examples: California (CA590), Puerto Rico, Pennsylvania, Foreign Cross Boarder, etc
Maintenance and annual reporting of IRS 1099-MISC
Handling of Tax Levy's, Letters of Assignments from Factoring companies and other mail as needed
Run Metrics and other Vendor Master reports as needed
Semi-annual review and deactivation of inactive vendors
Create and maintain desktop procedures and customer training documents, as needed
Project Committee and/or management initiative participation
Qualification
Required
Associate's degree in finance or 3+ years related experience in Vendor Database Maintenance and/or Accounts Payable required
Minimum of 3+ years of relevant finance and accounting experience
Experience with Microsoft Office applications including MS Excel and MS word
Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
Ability to travel 0-10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
Preferred
Knowledge of 1099 reporting and Withholding tax rules
