Responsibilities

Assemble, install, and repair structural steel frameworks using hand tools, power tools, and rigging equipment
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate fabrication and installation
Perform MIG, TIG, FCAW, steel welding, and soldering to join metal components according to industry standards
Operate cranes, forklifts, manlifts and other heavy machinery safely and efficiently
Measure materials with calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools for accurate fabrication
Follow ASME codes & standards during fabrication and installation processes
Use basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and layout work
Conduct rigging operations for lifting heavy steel components safely into position
Maintain a clean work environment while adhering to safety protocols on-site
Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while ensuring quality workmanship

Required

Strong background in structural steel work, fabrication, and welding
Ability to interpret blueprints and schematics
Solid understanding of mechanical systems
Comfortable operating power tools and heavy machinery
Assemble, install, and repair structural steel frameworks using hand tools, power tools, and rigging equipment

Construction site experience with a focus on steel erection and fabrication
Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), plasma cutting, and sheet metal work
Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and mechanical drawings
Experience operating cranes, forklifts, power tools and hand tools
Knowledge of ASME codes & standards related to structural steel fabrication
Basic math skills for measurements and calculations essential for precise work
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot fabrication or installation issues effectively
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to unique project challenges
Physical stamina and manual dexterity
Must be able to pass a KSC background check
Must have the proper PPE equipment (Hard Hat, Jeans (Work pants), Safety Vest or Shirt, and boots)

Preferred

Construction site experience with a focus on steel erection and fabrication preferred, laser experience a plus
