Responsibilities

Define global upstream marketing strategies that align with Olympus’ corporate vision and GI EndoTherapy growth objectives and overall Business Unit Strategy
Lead global portfolio strategy, including pipeline prioritization, lifecycle management, and long-range planning
Translate customer, clinical, and market insights into compelling product strategies and differentiated value propositions
Partner with R&D to guide innovation from concept through development, ensuring strong clinical relevance and commercial viability
Drive financial rigor through robust business cases, forecasting, and return-on-investment analyses
Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing global marketing organization, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and talent development
Act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, providing clear recommendations supported by data, market insight, and financial analysis

Required

MBA with a concentration in Marketing required (or equivalent advanced business degree)
Minimum of 10 years of people management experience, including senior-level leadership roles
Demonstrated experience leading and developing global, cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment
Significant upstream/global marketing experience within medical devices, healthcare, or a similarly regulated, innovation-driven industry
Proven track record of developing and executing global portfolio and product strategies
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to influence, inspire, and align diverse global teams
Strong financial acumen, including experience with P&L management, business case development, and strategic investment decision-making
Deep understanding of upstream marketing principles, including market assessment, segmentation, positioning, and lifecycle management
Strategic thinker with the ability to translate complex data and insights into clear, actionable strategies
Excellent communication and executive presence, with the ability to engage effectively at all organizational levels
High degree of professionalism, integrity, and commitment to Olympus' mission of improving patient care and clinical outcomes
