InternThe City of Green River is seeking a College Intern for the Parks and Recreation Department. This internship provides an opportunity for professional training in sports management and involves assisting with daily operations, executing recreational sports leagues, and maintaining discipline in recreational areas.

Responsibilities
Assist in daily operations within Kelly Recreation Complex
Assist with the execution of recreational sports leagues—including softball, flag football and kickball
Setting up and tearing down recreation activities
Reports hazardous conditions and accidents and administers first aid when needed
Instructs individuals and groups in recreational activities; maintains discipline in recreational areas
Participates in staff meetings; assists in planning special events; provides information about programs to parents and other citizens
Ability to work flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
Perform related work as required
Qualification
Required
Enrollment in or recent graduation from a degree seeking program in an accredited college or university
A Resumé is required for consideration for this position
Basic understanding of sports (softball/baseball, flag football, kickball, basketball)
Ability to perform basic data entry
Basic Computer Skills
Must be willing to spend time outside
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective relationships with supervisor, co-workers, other City employees and the general public
Skill in communicating effectively both verbally and in writing, and to request clarification when needed
Valid driver's license is required
