FM Operations Manager (Engineering)

Responsibilities
Provide formal supervision to employees
Supervise the training and development of staff
Conduct performance evaluations and mentor
Lead all aspects of the recruiting and hiring of new employees
Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities
Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff
Set and track staff and department deadlines
Mentor and coach as needed
Maintain relationships with clients, partners, and other collaborators
Manage the profits and losses of the department or a specific division
Develop goals and initiatives to advise the department's course
Guide managers in implementing company initiatives and policies
Evaluate company processes and procedures to solve issues within them
Ensure business operations are implemented based on established procedures
Keep track of regulatory records and paperwork
Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values
Influence parties of shared interests to reach an agreement
Apply knowledge of own subject area and how own field integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives
Identify, fix, and resolve day-to-day and moderately sophisticated issues that may or may not be evident in existing systems and processes
Qualification
Required
Must live within designated radius of the job site to reliably work schedule/shift
Willing to answer calls (before/after hours) and respond to incidents and emergencies as needed
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future
Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years of Facilities/Operations management or relevant job-related experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered
Previous experience managing/supervising a team of building engineers
Understanding of the Mobile Maintenance and PM (Preventative Maintenance) Program
HVAC and M.E.P. (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) experience
Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and balance problems
Leadership skills to empower team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job subject area and department
Strong communication and client relation skills
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc
Extensive organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mentality
Advanced math skills. Ability to calculate difficult figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial related calculations
Preferred
EPA certification/license is a plus
Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and performance and retention preferred
