New GradRain Bird Corporation is seeking a part-time Engineering Technician for their extrusion team. The role involves assisting in product development, validating products, and supporting existing products while working closely with the engineering team and independently on assigned tasks.

Work closely with the current engineering team and perform tasks under the supervision and coaching of other engineers
Be a Self-starter, with the ability to be assigned a task and then work independently on that task without close supervision
Help prototype and test concepts that will advance future products
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline
Exposure to plastics and plastic part design
Some theoretical knowledge of part design and mechanical engineering concepts
Technical engineering foundation (e.g. Math, Physics, Materials, fluid mechanics)
Ability to work in a team environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
