Senior Research Engineeer (AC-TAP) in Quantum Matter Physics
The Department of Pharmacy at the University of Copenhagen is seeking a highly motivated and independent Senior Research Engineer to support research in quantum matter. The role involves investigating measurement-induced quantum phase transitions in hybrid materials and contributing to ongoing research projects.
Research
Responsibilities
Drive and guide the research efforts, including experiment and device designs, nanofabrication and radio-frequency measurements, including fast feedback of measurement outcomes to control electronics
Contribute to and support the ongoing research projects in the group on an ad hoc basis when needed
Disseminate your expertise to new lab members and support the lab management
Qualification
Required
You have a PhD in Physics
You have documented experience in experimental condensed matter physics, mesoscopic electron transport, or experimental solid-state quantum information science
You have an active interest in exploring novel materials for novel schemes of quantum information applications, including measurement-induced phase transitions
You have proven an ability to envision, plan and execute a research project
Good English skills, written and spoken
Experience within nanofabrication, low-temperature measurements, low-noise and high-frequency electrical measurement techniques, data analysis is considered essential for the position
