Responsibilities

Act as a technical expert and trusted advisor for FIN Framework and J2’s smart building solutions
Support pre-sales and post-sales activities, including:
Technical presentations, workshops, and demos
Architecture reviews and solution design
Proof-of-Concepts (PoCs) and pilot projects
Work directly with OEM partners, system integrators, and enterprise customers to:
Design and validate BMS architectures
Configure and commission FIN-based systems
Integrate HVAC equipment and third-party systems
Support global projects across Americas and Europe, with regular travel (30–40%)
Apply deep knowledge of:
HVAC systems and control strategies
Open protocols such as BACnet and Modbus
Software-centric BMS concepts (edge, data, APIs)
Training & enablement responsibilities
Deliver technical training on FIN Framework to:
System integrators and OEM partners
Customers and internal teams
Conduct:
Classroom and virtual training sessions
Hands-on workshops and labs
Advanced technical deep dives for experienced partners
Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of:
Training materials
Technical documentation
Best-practice guidelines and reference architectures
Act as a technical reference and mentor for partners and internal engineers adopting FIN Framework
Cross-functional collaboration
Collaborate closely with:
Sales and Business Development during opportunity qualification
Product Management and R&D, providing structured feedback from the field and from training sessions
Professional Services and Support teams to ensure successful customer onboarding and project delivery
Capture insights from training and field activities to help shape:
Product roadmap priorities
Partner enablement strategies
Go-to-market execution

Qualification

Required

5+ years of experience in the BMS / HVAC controls industry
Previous experience with a BMS manufacturer, OEM, or system integrator
Strong hands-on knowledge of HVAC systems (AHUs, chillers, heat pumps, VAVs, fan coils, etc.)
Control strategies and sequences of operation
BMS commissioning and application engineering
Must be able to demonstrate that you are hands-on, pragmatic, and solution-oriented
Must be comfortable acting as both engineer and trainer
Strong presentation and communication skills
Ability to bridge field reality with software platform capabilities
Self-driven, proactive, and collaborative in a global environment
Solid experience with BACnet-based systems
Proven ability to explain technical concepts clearly, ideally with prior experience delivering training or workshops
Willingness to travel 30–40% across Americas and Europe
Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

Preferred

Experience with FIN Framework, Niagara, or similar BMS platforms
Familiarity with Project Haystack / tagging strategies
REST APIs and system integrations
Analytics, dashboards, or energy optimization concepts
Understanding of IT/OT convergence, including IP networking fundamentals
Edge-to-Cloud architectures
Basic scripting or programming exposure (Java, Python, JavaScript) is a plus
Bilingual - Spanish (other languages also considered)
