Laboratory Technician
The University of Pittsburgh is seeking a Laboratory Technician for the Pulmonary, Allergy, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine Division. The role involves performing independent laboratory work, data analysis, and maintaining laboratory inventory while contributing to various research projects.

Responsibilities
Breeding, genotyping, lab maintenance, performing in vivo experiments, data analysis, record keeping and formal presentations to the lab meetings
Experiments will include BSL2 biosafety level
Additional responsibilities include performing cell culture experiments, titration of viral and bacterial burdens in biological samples
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree
3 years of experience
Ability to perform a variety of independent and complex laboratory work and experiments
Ability to analyze and interpret data, compile results, and prepare reports
Experience in maintaining inventory, ordering, and logs
Ability to write manuscripts and grant proposals
Ability to prepare data visualizations
Experience in breeding and genotyping mice colonies
Ability to perform in vivo experiments and data analysis
Experience in record keeping and formal presentations to lab meetings
Ability to perform cell culture experiments
Ability to titrate viral and bacterial burdens in biological samples
Ability to sit/stand for up to 8 hours a day
Successful completion of a background check
