Snowflake Architect
Akkodis Group Nordics is seeking a Snowflake Architect for a contract with a client. The role involves designing scalable data lake architectures, guiding migrations to Azure cloud services, and managing data governance and performance tuning across cloud platforms.

Responsibilities
Design and implement scalable data lake architectures using Snowflake and Databricks, ensuring efficient data ingestion, transformation, and storage
Lead and guide the migration of on‑prem Cloudera environments to Azure cloud services, including Synapse, Databricks, and Snowflake
Manage data governance, security, and quality frameworks across cloud platforms while implementing performance tuning, automation, and CI/CD pipelines
Administer, monitor, and optimize Cloudera Hadoop clusters (HDFS, YARN, Hive, Spark) to ensure high availability, performance, and operational reliability
Troubleshoot Linux, network, and cluster‑level issues while supporting users in debugging and optimizing Hive, Spark, and Python workloads
Implement enterprise security solutions including Kerberos, Ranger, Atlas, HashiCorp Vault, and CyberArk, and maintain documentation and vendor collaboration for upgrades and compliance
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related field
8–12 years of overall experience, with at least 5+ years in Snowflake, Cloud Data Engineering, or Data Lake Architecture
Proven hands‑on experience migrating on‑prem Hadoop/Cloudera environments to Azure cloud (Snowflake, Synapse, Databricks)
Strong expertise in performance tuning, data governance, and cloud security frameworks across enterprise data platforms
