Lead Project Assistant - Kansas City
Burns & McDonnell is seeking a Lead Project Assistant to support engineering and construction projects. The role involves assisting the Project Manager with administrative project information, managing project files, invoicing clients, and overseeing general administrative duties for the project team.

Responsibilities
Responsible for the administration of small projects
Responsible for maintainance of project files and records
Assist with invoicing clients for payment documents. Track invoices to ensure timely payments. Ability to handle subcontractor and vendor invoices in a timely fashion
Manage Customer Relationship Management list and distribute appropriate communication as requested
Create and generate project specific spreadsheets
Oversee general administrative duties for project team and/or Project Controller, as needed
Develop and maintain procedures pertaining to internal and external project requirements
Prepare and present contract documents, templates, workflows, agendas, financial summaries, meeting notes, presentations and tables utilizing Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other programs
Assist in the preparation of client proposals and communications as assigned and distribute RFI's and maintain RFI logs
Create and publish task lists from meetings for distribution to the project team for the Project Manager
Create and generate standard business reports
Recommend and maintain appropriate communication and protocol for questions related to the project
Update and maintain project calendar
Initiate project related letters when requested
Assist in writing projects reports with inserted graphics
Performs other duties as assigned
Complies with all policies and standards
Qualification
Required
Bachelor Degree in a related field and 5 years experience is required OR an Associate's Degree in a related field and 7 years experience is required OR a High School Diploma/GED and 8 years experience is required
Ability to handle a high workload with diverse tasks
Position requires ability to work independently and collaboratively, demonstrating accuracy, reliability, organization and problem-solving skills
Ability to apply a range of software tools, including models, spreadsheets, and databases, to perform analysis and communicate findings in a compelling way
Strong problem-solving and analysis skills
Ability to clearly communicate both verbal and written technical information
Commitment to continuous improvement and excellent client service
Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow complex requests
Expert in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
