BIM Detailer
Hays Electrical Services is a company with over 18 years of experience in providing excellent service to various industries. They are seeking a detail-oriented BIM Detailer to support the development and coordination of electrical system models using Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools, ensuring designs are constructible and aligned with project requirements.

Responsibilities
Develop detailed 3D electrical models for systems including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, low-voltage, and other electrical components using Revit
Produce shop drawings and installation drawings from BIM models
Assist in creating and maintaining accurate electrical layouts, panel schedules, conduit routing, and equipment placement
Update models based on design changes, RFIs, and field conditions
Ensure models comply with company BIM standards and project requirements
Participate in BIM coordination meetings with internal teams and external stakeholders
Perform clash detection using Navisworks or similar tools and assist in resolving coordination issues
Coordinate electrical systems with architectural, structural, and mechanical trades
Communicate with project managers and field teams to ensure model accuracy and constructability
Support field personnel with model-based information and drawing clarification
Review and verify model accuracy, dimensions, and system layouts
Ensure all drawings and models comply with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications
Maintain organized and updated model files throughout the project lifecycle
Assist in maintaining drawing revisions and as-built documentation
Generate detailed electrical shop drawings, installation drawings, and layout plans from BIM models
Prepare panel schedules, equipment schedules, and other supporting documentation
Track model revisions and ensure proper documentation control
Support project closeout documentation, including as-built models
Utilize Revit, AutoCAD, and other BIM software to produce electrical detailing
Use Navisworks for clash detection and coordination
Work within project management and document control platforms as required
Stay current with BIM standards, modeling techniques, and industry best practices
Qualification
Required

Minimum 2–4 years of experience in BIM detailing or electrical drafting in a construction environment
Experience using Revit for electrical modeling is required
Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
Working knowledge of Navisworks or similar clash detection software
Basic understanding of electrical construction methods and NEC standards
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment
Effective communication and teamwork skills
Problem-solving ability with a proactive approach to coordination challenges
Preferred
Associate degree, technical diploma, or certification in Electrical Technology, Drafting, BIM, or a related field preferred
BIM certification or formal training in Revit is a plus
Experience with electrical systems such as power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems preferred
Familiarity with BIM coordination and clash detection processes
