GLO - Communications Summer Intern (Clerk II)
The Texas General Land Office (GLO) is seeking a Clerk II for the Communications Department. The role involves performing clerical work, assisting with communications-related tasks, and supporting the department's essential duties and special projects.

Responsibilities
Assists with the Department of Communications essential duties and other special projects as needed
Assist with filing, coping and other clerical functions as needed
Drafts social media content for posting on agency initiatives and monitors content on social media sites
Aids Communications staff in drafting agency internal newsletter and other internal communications materials
Helps in drafting press releases and media advisories
Consults with Communication's Leadership to aid in agency-wide internal events and award ceremonies
Assists Communication's Leadership with researching and preparing talking points for external agency events
Qualification
Required
Must be at least 18 years of age
Be a US Citizen or be eligible to work in the US
Have at least 30 semester credit hours or more in an accredited college or university (transcripts required) majoring in Communications, Marketing, or closely related field
Preferred
Experience in clerical work
Experience, training, and/or education in Communications, Marketing, or closely related field
