GE Vernova is seeking an Engineer in Stability Analysis to join their LOCA, Containment & Stability Analysis Team. The role involves performing safety analysis for plant thermal-hydraulic stability and supporting reload applications for Boiling Water Reactor plants.

Responsibilities

Perform plant thermal-hydraulic stability analyses, plant noise analyses, PRNM stability interface, and other safety analyses with general expertise in two-phase thermal hydraulic analysis techniques
Support fuel projects including reload analyses, methods implementation, new fuel introductions, and safety analysis support for emergent fuel issues
Prepare, document and present technical data to internal/external customers
Contribute to team process improvements to drive speed and simplification
Ensure work is performed with high quality in accordance with NRC rules and regulations, customer requirements, and business quality assurance standards

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Discipline (Nuclear, Mechanical, Chemical, or similar) from an accredited college or university

Preferred

Experience in BWR plant thermal hydraulic stability safety analysis & methods
Experience in Stability analyses, plant noise analyses, PRNM stability interface, stability setpoints methodology, and frequency and time domain methodologies
M.S. Degree in Nuclear Engineering with experience in T/H modeling as applied to nuclear reactor systems
Experience with BWR technology and BWR Stability analysis to support applicable regulatory requirements
Knowledge of plant operational support in the Stability area
Knowledge of reactor licensing requirements
Experience with BWR simulator and use of 3-D neutron kinetics (e.g., PANAC)
Experience with BWR/PWR T/H systems codes such as TRACG, RELAP, & TRACE
Programming experience such as C#, FORTRAN, or PYTHON
Demonstrated high energy and the ability to energize others

Work easily and communicate effectively within a team environment
