Manufacturing Engineer (Composites)

The Manufacturing Engineer will lead continuous improvement projects for composite production, focusing on safety, quality, and cost while serving as a technical liaison across departments.

Responsibilities
Own hardware from concept generation to real world use
Use first principles physics as a basis when needed
Use prior examples, previous experience as a basis when appropriate
Lead design reviews, run analysis, visit vendors, define and execute hardware test plans
Build prototypes, analyze failures, and transition successful projects into production
Identify sources of waste and implement strategies to minimize defects
Support critical hardware demonstrations with customers as needed
Travel to installation sites as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's in Engineering or equivalent work experience
Experience and passion for composite manufacturing processes
3-5 years of Engineering experience
Expert user of SolidWorks, PDM, and Microsoft Office
Competence in reading and interpreting engineering diagrams and blueprints
Ability to build relationships with operators and team members
Self-motivated with strong personal workload management
Ability to read, interpret, and create technical drawings and schematics with proper application of dimensions and tolerance (GD&T)
Knowledge and application of continuous improvement philosophy, methodology, and tools
