Responsibilities
Ensuring the quality and reliability of software products through comprehensive quality assurance practices
Assisting with test case design, performing integrated testing, and overseeing the software assurance process during requirements verification, certification, and customer and supplier oversight
Participating in all stages of the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and analysis to design, implementation, testing, and maintenance
Applying software assurance standards in a software development or recurring program context
Assisting the test team with test case design, including integrated testing, edge cases, boundary tests, negative tests, ad hoc cases, and worst-case scenarios
Performing requirements verification and ensuring traceability throughout the development process while overseeing the software assurance process during certification and customer and supplier oversight
Tracking and reporting software defects, working with development teams to resolve issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure software quality throughout the development lifecycle
Providing clear verbal and written communication of quality assurance activities and findings and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the quality assurance process
Qualification
Required
Requires Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree)
Typically 2+ years of related experience
Knowledge of all stages of the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and analysis, through design and implementation, to testing and maintenance
Understanding of the requirements of software assurance standards and how to apply them in a software development or recurring program context
Ability to assist the test team with test case design
Experience with integrated testing, edge cases, boundary tests, negative tests, ad hoc cases, and worst-case scenarios
Knowledge of the software assurance process during requirements verification, certification, and customer and supplier oversight
Preferred
Familiarity with software testing tools and frameworks
Proficiency in programming languages and scripting
Understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Attention to detail and a commitment to quality
Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes quickly
Experience with automated testing tools and techniques
Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to software quality assurance
