InternLanteris Space is seeking a Manufacturing and Production Engineering Intern to support hardware production operations at their contract manufacturing partner in San Jose. This hands-on role provides exposure to aerospace hardware production and involves supporting day-to-day production activities, process improvement efforts, and coordination between teams.

Responsibilities
Support hardware production activities in Bus Electronics (BEM)
Assist with production planning, and shop floor support
Help track production status, material flow, and build readiness
Participate in process improvement initiatives to improve quality, efficiency, and throughput
Support root cause investigations and corrective actions for production issues
Interface with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and engineering teams as needed
Assist with documentation (work instructions updates), metrics tracking, and production reporting
Qualification
Required
Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program with two or more years completed or a Master's degree program in: Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical discipline
Preferred
Ability to work effectively as part of a cross-functional engineering team
Interest in aerospace, manufacturing, or systems engineering
Exposure to or interest in process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, DMAIC, etc.)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Well-organized, self-motivated, and eager to learn in a production environment
Comfortable working in a hands-on manufacturing setting
