Electrical Engineering Intern
Winnebago Industries is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern for their Lithionics Battery division in Sarasota, FL. The intern will gain hands-on experience in battery systems, hardware testing, and support engineering teams in developing and improving lithium battery systems.

Responsibilities
Assist with hands‑on testing and validation of 10‑Series Battery Management Systems (BMS)
Help set up, run, and document lab tests directed by senior engineers
Participate in hardware troubleshooting and failure analysis (a.k.a. doing “board sleuthing” when things break)
Be a technical extra set of hands in the lab, supporting engineers during development and testing
Help oversee and execute tests directed by senior team members
Learn how real‑world electrical designs behave outside of simulations
Clean up and formalize manufacturing improvements that exist today but aren’t well documented
Create clear, usable documentation that Manufacturing has been requesting—and truly needs
Document Manufacturing processes for accessory products, including TSM / SBC / NCC, Kisae charger programming, IonGate programming and testing procedures
Learn how engineering decisions translate into repeatable manufacturing workflows
Help document wire harnesses and IO topology for the 10‑Series BMS
Analyze connections between CCS, Case IO, and BMS
Support future design improvements focused on standardization, including connector usage, cable length, and IO layout
Qualification
Required
Current student pursuing a BS or MS in Electrical Engineering (or related field)
Interest in battery systems, power electronics, or hardware development
Comfortable working in a lab environment and learning by doing
Curious, detail‑oriented, and not afraid to ask questions or investigate failures
Preferred
Experience with schematics, wiring, PCBs, or test equipment
