$70/hr - $85/hrCDW is seeking a highly skilled Data Center Network Engineer (Contractor) with deep expertise in Cisco ACI to support and evolve a large-scale global data center network estate. This role is hands-on and technically driven, with primary responsibility for the US data center footprint while collaborating across a global engineering organization.

Responsibilities
Lead and deliver technical initiatives across a global data center network estate
Design, implement, and support Cisco ACI-based architectures
Support and optimize Cisco Nexus (NX-OS) environments
Proactively troubleshoot complex data center networking issues and coordinate vendors when required
Develop and maintain Low-Level Designs (LLDs) and technical documentation
Standardize network design and change processes across the organization
Drive continuous service improvement with global network technical leads
Take a hands-on role in supporting local data center infrastructure and managing third parties
Contribute to automation initiatives using Infrastructure as Code and APIs
Qualification
Required
Strong hands-on expertise in Cisco ACI (design, deployment, operations)
Deep knowledge of routing and switching fundamentals (BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, EVPN, etc.)
Experience with Cisco Nexus data center technologies
Experience with Cisco firewalls and data center security architecture
Experience with WAN and Telecom technologies
Exposure to Cisco SD-WAN concepts
Scripting and automation experience with Python
Experience with Terraform, Ansible, GitHub/GitLab, and REST APIs
Proven ability to deliver complex technical work under pressure
Strong ownership mindset with a track record of meeting deadlines
Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Ability to collaborate across time zones and global teams
Self-starter who can manage workload without over-committing
Preferred
Network cloud integration experience
Arista networking exposure
Infrastructure automation within hybrid or multi-cloud environments
