NDT Technician - Level II

Industrial Inspection & Analysis (IIA) is seeking experienced NDT Level II Technicians to join their lab in St. Louis, MO. The technician will perform hands-on Non-Destructive Testing at customer sites and/or at the lab, ensuring compliance with safety and quality procedures while supporting other associated tasks as directed by their supervisor.

Responsibilities

Perform hands on NDT / NDE work interfacing with the customer and directing / training Technician Assistants / Apprentices based on the specific work scope
Ensure work and used materials are compliant with manufacturer and customer specifications
Ensure compliance with all safety and quality procedures, laws, regulations, and customer requirements
Own personal and overall job site safety, stopping the job if required due to unsafe conditions or lack of compliance with quality requirements
Perform day to day and routine safety observations and inspections
Perform pre-job preparations of equipment, job walkdowns, procedural reviews, etc. as required by the specific work scope
Perform post-job equipment, job walkdowns, procedural reviews, etc. as required by the specific work scope for the completed work and future work scheduled / planned
Complete applicable job reports and other paperwork as required / instructed on or before the required date as communicated by the applicable IIA representative

Qualification

CWI certificationLevel II UT Shear WaveNDT methods knowledgeTechnical specifications readingBasic math knowledgeBasic software proficiencyInterpersonal skills

Required

Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) and/or Level II UT Shear Wave certification
Must have the legal right to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
Must have and maintain a current valid driver's license
Take and pass all pre-employment screening, including background and initial and future random drug screening
High School diploma or equivalent
Provide verifiable evidence of certification, OJT hours, and / or completion of ASNT recommended training program
Meet or exceed quality program requirements for work experience on the applicable method and total work experience for the NDT method and level
Understand mechanical concepts and spatial relationships
Knowledge of basic math
Able to read, comprehend, and prepare technical specifications and procedures
Good interpersonal skills for daily interaction with customers and fellow employees
Ability to use basic software and Outlook to generate service reports and communicate within the company, including skills to navigate web-based service literature and programs

Preferred

CWI strongly preferred
Certifications in other methods such as RT, MT, PT, and VT
