Part-Time Administrative Support Assistant | Denver City Council | District 6
The City and County of Denver is seeking a part-time Administrative Support Assistant III to support the constituent, policy, and community impact work across District 6. The role involves engaging with community members, providing general information, managing phone calls, and assisting with event planning and outreach activities.

Responsibilities
Engage with community members in various ways: in-person, phone, email, social media
Provide the public with general information, explain and clarify rules, processes, and procedures, answer questions, and resolve a variety of problems within a defined scope
Manage inbound phone calls
Utilize a variety of computer programs and apps to complete tasks and stay organized including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Canva, etc. and be able to learn how to use new programs
Work with the office team to plan events and outreach to community
Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Graduation from high school or the possession of a GED, HiSET or TASC Certificate
Two (2) years of clerical experience
By position requires a valid Driver's License at the time of application. Licenses and certifications must be kept current as a condition of employment

Exceptional attention to detail
Self-starter with a high work ethic
Capable of maintaining a positive attitude in a high pressure, confidentiality-sensitive and fast-paced, politically charged environment
A demonstrated commitment to public service
Experience in being detail orientated
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong customer service skills and the ability to respond promptly to requests/questions
The ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks
Work autonomously and be dependable as part of a team
Experience using MS Office Suite
Social media skills are a plus
