Technician -NG Flight Avionics III
Blue Origin is working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems. The Technician -NG Flight Avionics III role involves providing hands-on support to Engineering/Production/Manufacturing, performing testing, modification, fabrication, and assembly of electro/mechanical systems for the New Glenn project.

Responsibilities
Building a variety of different harnesses and often managing changing priorities from project to project, requiring mental flexibility
Building a variety of electrical assemblies including test equipment, harnesses and often managing changing priorities from project to project, requiring mental flexibility
Often assisting with new designs; working directly with engineering to determine standard processes and to vet new designs for improvement opportunities prior to production
Provide feedback on new assemblies, identifying needed improvements to existing designs and improving or updating outdated designs
Serve internal and external customers, across multiple systems and multiple platforms. Each Technician is a valued part of the chain that supports safe, affordable, and regular human spaceflight

Qualification
Required
2+ years fabricating, inspecting, and repairing wire harness assemblies
2+ years' experience with standard harnessing tools as well as measuring and layout of assembly. Experience with wire stripping, crimping, and splicing using either manual or automated processes
2+ years' experience with using testing/trouble shooting tools such as a digital multi-meter
At least 3 years' experience in Aerospace Avionics or related experience
Familiarity with torquing procedures, sizing fasteners and harness assembly, disassembly and modification
Familiarity with Microsoft Suite of programs…office, visio etc
Familiarity with electrical drawings, wiring diagrams and dimensional layout drawings
Able to lift 25 lbs
Preferred
6+ years' experience in avionics or electronics development and electronics testing
4+ years' fabricating, inspecting, and repairing wire harness assemblies

Familiarity with Altium, CAD, easy wire and allspice.io
Current or expired certifications in PCBA inspection (IPC-A-610), harness assembly (IPC/WHMA-A-620), soldering (J-STD-001), PCBA rework (IPC-7711/7721)
