Responsibilities
Lead and/or work on the most complex IT infrastructure, modification, installation, testing, implementation, and support of new or existing system hardware and software products
Plan, install, configure, test, implement and manage core system hardware and software products in support of an organization’s IT architecture and business needs
Responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of all F5 Local Traffic Manager (LTM) and Global Traffic Manager (GTM) load balancer functions
Create virtual servers, pools/pool members, nodes, monitors, and iRules
Responsible for all load balance support for cloud service providers (Amazon Web Services - AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform – GCP, IBM Cloud)
Plan and upgrade the systems on a regular basis, checking the health of all the systems, and making necessary changes as required
Analyze issues reported by internal/external teams and make necessary recommendations; plan and design systems architecture
Work with customers to test applications after changes
Upgrade hardware in a timely manner with a minimum downtime window; evaluate new applications software technologies; and/or ensure the security products are patched on a regular basis
Qualification
Required
In depth knowledge of F5 VIPRION LTM, GTM systems
Experience with virtual F5 VIPRION LTM/GTMs
Experience with migration from physical to virtual F5 or other cloud-based load-balancers
Knowledge of VMware ARVI located at various cloud providers such as AWS, MS Azure, Google Cloud, IBM Cloud
Experience with global load balancing
Experience with local load balancing
Knowledge of SSL acceleration
Knowledge of HTTP compression/caching
Knowledge of DNS
Minimum of three (3) years of experience configuring, implementing, and troubleshooting F5 load balancing VIPRION based solutions for enterprise environments
At least three (3) years as a network administrator using, configuring, implementing, and troubleshooting Cisco network equipment for enterprise environments
At least two (2) years of experience using, configuring, implementing, and troubleshooting cloud-based load-balancers, servers, and network systems for enterprise environments
Possession of a bachelor's degree in an IT-related or Engineering field
