Responsibilities
Apply first-principles reasoning (e.g., forces, energy, materials, geometry) to break down problems into their fundamental components before jumping to solutions
Collaborate cross-functionally with mechanical, electronics, mechatronics and embedded teams to develop new technologies
Assist in root-cause investigations by capturing data, running simple tests, or reviewing failure modes
Takes initiative by proactively starting tasks, seeking information/feedback, moving work forward and asking thoughtful questions
Communicate progress, blockers and findings clearly to the engineering team
Qualification
Required
Enrolled in an industrial/product design, mechanical engineering, or related engineering program
Experience with engineering tools including sketching, 3D printing and using hand tools
Generalist skills in 3D modeling using Siemens NX, or similar CAD package
Creating and translating CAD models into physical prototypes
Enthusiasm for early-stage ideation, concept development through designing for mass production and life cycle support
Strong collaboration and communication skills to work with teams in Denmark, London and Singapore
A builder with passion for creatively using technology as a vehicle to deliver truly incredible play experiences to children around the world!
