Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain data pipelines using Alteryx Designer
Develop and maintain logical data models in Oracle SQL Developer Data Modeler
Build and manage ETL processes and code repositories
Perform data cleansing, transformation, aggregation, and enrichment
Establish and monitor data quality standards, controls, and governance procedures
Optimize workflows for performance, scalability, and reliability
Ensure compliance with data privacy and security best practices
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot bottlenecks, and enhance query efficiency
Collaborate with analysts and data scientists to support analytics and automated decision-making
Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior team members
Qualification
Required
3–5+ years of data engineering experience (expert-level proficiency)
Strong expertise in Python and SQL
Advanced knowledge of relational database design and data modeling
Experience implementing data warehouses, data lakes, or lakehouses
Proven experience designing ETL pipelines and optimizing data systems
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
Preferred
5–10 years of hands-on experience with Alteryx Designer
Experience in government environments
Background in environmental science or water quality data
Familiarity with BI tools such as Qlik Sense
