Responsibilities
Provide emotional support to patients and families, demonstrating AdventHealth’s commitment to compassionate, whole-person care
Demonstrates respect for co-workers and develops positive working relationships with other departments and personnel
Support surgical teams by preparing instruments, equipment, and supplies. Maintain sterility in the surgical field and anticipate the needs of surgeons and scrub techs
Assist in specimen collection, labeling, and handling according to AdventHealth policies
Participate in counts (sponges, sharps, instruments) to ensure patient safety. Considers factors related to safety, effectiveness, cost, and impact on practice in the delivery of nursing services
Maintains safe practice by demonstrating unit-specific clinical competency and compliance with all regulatory standards
Qualification
Required
Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Associate's of Nursing
Registered Nurse (RN)
Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS)
