Responsibilities
Plan and conduct internal, process, and product audits to maintain compliance with ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards
Lead cross-functional teams using quality tools—such as the 8D methodology—to resolve quality issues and address customer concerns
Partner with the engineering team to review customer specifications and drawings
Develop and update Quality Control Plans and checklists to ensure our processes are airtight
Design, document, and implement robust methods and procedures for inspection and testing
Drive plant-wide quality and customer satisfaction using advanced techniques, including SPC, FMEA, DOE, and Lean Manufacturing
Develop and maintain quality standards for processing materials into partially finished or finished products
Support documentation and the MRB (Material Review Board) disposition process, including the detailed analysis of customer complaints
Participate in Engineering Change Control Boards (CCB) and assist in the development and refinement of PFMEAs
Provide training and mentoring to team members on quality improvement skills and tool application
Qualification
Required
A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (or a related technical field)
5+ years of hands-on experience in a Senior Quality Technician or Inspector role, with a deep understanding of manufacturing processes and measurement tools
Strong understanding of blueprints and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
A 'detective' mindset—you enjoy finding the source of a problem and fixing it
Clear communication skills; you can explain technical issues to both operators and management
Proficiency with basic data tools (Excel/Google Sheets) and a willingness to learn Quality Management Software
Exposure ISO 9001 and AS9100 certified environment required
This is an ITAR facility and applicant must be a US Citizen or a lawful permanent resident
Preferred
Preferred a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in quality engineering or related area in a manufacturing environment
