Six Red Marbles is seeking subject matter experts to develop lessons for a high-school level course on retail management. The SME will collaborate with instructional designers to create engaging and informative career-oriented lessons covering various topics in retail management.

Responsibilities

Develop preliminary learning materials which align with learning objectives and content outlines provided by the client. Example learning materials may include slide decks, video scripts, vocabulary handouts, project and activity directions and assessment questions
Ability to respond to content questions from instructional design team promptly. This will include timely work over email, document sharing platforms, and synchronous working sessions over Microsoft Teams as needed
Ability to communicate with all team members throughout every stage of lesson development
Ability to take and apply constructive feedback in a professional manner
Strict adherence to due dates

Qualification

Retail management experienceDeveloping learning materialsMicrosoft 365 proficiencyCommunication skillsTeam collaboration

Required

Bachelor's degree in management or related business fields
Experience in retail management
Ability to communicate retail management topics with non-specialist and high-school audiences
This role requires home access to a computer and high speed internet connection
An ability to attend virtual Teams meetings
Comfort working with standard software such as Microsoft 365
Approximately 8-10 hours per week between March and July 2026
Meetings with instructional design staff are required
Ability to develop preliminary learning materials which align with learning objectives and content outlines provided by the client

Preferred

Familiarity with developing learning materials, assessments, presentations and other relevant documents is preferred
