Responsibilities

Use a variety of sample prep tools/approaches to solve unique problems in the interest of National Security
Recommend and initiate new concepts and/or alternative approaches to unique problems, generally highly complex in nature
Work with technical staff as part of critical problem-solving team with minimal supervision
Perform preventative maintenance tasks and is expected to recommend improvements to increase productivity and effectiveness within the sphere of influence

Qualification

Microelectronics experienceLaboratory experienceDOE security clearanceLean/Six Sigma certificationProblem-solving skillsSafety awarenessTeam collaborationMentoring experienceDocumentation skills

Required

High school diploma plus three (3) or more years of directly related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Active DOE L-level security clearance or DOD equivalent; with ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q-level security clearance

Preferred

2-3 years of microelectronics related experience
Coordination and collaboration with team members to accomplish a difficult task. These tasks may require a creative and novel approach
A desire to learn new skills in support of meeting project milestones
A history of mentoring and training other members of the workforce
Works well in a team environment, but independently develops new process techniques and works conscientiously to deliver excellent results
Direct laboratory experience utilizing a variety of processing tools
Ability to document work in a clear and thorough manner
Understands the importance of ES&H and takes their own personal safety and the safety of their coworkers seriously
Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certified or some other metric that shows the importance of quality systems in your work
Active DOE Q or DOD TS clearance
