Responsibilities
Lead structural engineering projects from concept through construction administration
Direct the design of steel, reinforced concrete, and seismic force-resisting systems
Oversee technical production and coordinate closely with architects, contractors, and consultants
Manage schedules, budgets, deliverables, and quality control processes
Mentor structural engineers, EITs, and BIM designers
Serve as the primary technical liaison for clients and project stakeholders
Support seismic evaluation and retrofit assignments as needed
Ensure compliance with California building codes and agency standards including DSA and HCAI
Qualification
Required
Active California Structural Engineer (SE) license
7+ years of structural building design experience
Strong background designing large steel and reinforced concrete structures
Deep understanding of seismic design principles and structural analysis
Proven experience managing projects within a consulting environment
Ability to collaborate effectively with architects, owners, and contractors
Strong communication and leadership skills
Authorization to work in the United States
Preferred
Master's degree in Structural Engineering
Experience with DSA or HCAI regulated projects
Background in seismic retrofit and ASCE 41 methodologies
Experience with high-rise or complex Type I construction
