The City of Colorado Springs is seeking an Analyst II to join the Air Service Development team at the Colorado Springs Airport. This role involves researching air service opportunities, analyzing market demand, and developing strategies to enhance airline relations and service offerings.

Responsibilities

Research potential air service opportunities for new and existing markets and communicate opportunities with internal and external stakeholders
Stay informed of airport and airline industry trends and news; provide regular updates to the Airport and air service stakeholders
Monitor, analyze, and report on key performance indicators of the Airport relative to regional and national peers
Analyze and develop the Airport's air service incentive program
Contribute to the development and execution of Airport’s air service development strategy and tactics
Analyze air service market demand, fare, and capacity patterns for the industry and Airport
Prepare air service presentations that accurately represent the Colorado Springs market, as well as air service opportunities to airlines and external stakeholders
Develop and present written and oral air service development presentations to multiple stakeholders and audiences
Research and identify opportunities for business process improvement
Manage airline affairs-related issues, tasks, and relationships

Required

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in a related area of study
Three years of full-time, professional experience in a related field
Ability to use data to prepare comprehensive reports, documents, and correspondence
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively
Ability to recommend and participate in various organizational studies and analysis
Ability to coordinate the collection, evaluation, and interpretation of information and data
Ability to maintain detailed records and prepare professional reports
Ability to analyze problems, identify alternative solutions, and provide recommendations
Ability to review and analyze technical documents and proposals
Ability to balance multiple projects, meet necessary deadlines, and exercise initiative
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
Knowledge of airline networks, including hubs, spokes, frequencies, capacity, and carrier strengths and weaknesses
Knowledge of key factors in successful new and existing market development
Knowledge of advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and presentation skills
Knowledge of methods of economic, statistical, financial, and procedural analysis
Knowledge of pertinent federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations
Knowledge of airline route development

Preferred

Previous experience in an air service development or airline commercial planning role
A self-starter with strong interpersonal and analytical skills
Strong attention to detail
Exceptional written and oral communication skills
