Responsibilities

Apply first-principles reasoning (OS theory, computational complexity, resource utilization) to break down problems into their fundamental components before jumping to solutions
Collaborate cross-functionally with mechanical, electronics, and mechatronics teams to develop new technologies
Assist in root-cause investigations by capturing data, running simple tests, or reviewing failure modes
Takes initiative by proactively starting tasks, seeking information/feedback, moving work forward and asking thoughtful questions
Communicate progress, blockers and findings clearly to the engineering team

Required

Enrolled in a computer engineering, computer science, or related engineering program
Experience with software/firmware engineering tools including revision control, IDEs, etc
Skills in programming with the C and Python languages
Programming embedded systems using JTAG or similar devices
Experience with hardware debugging tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, logic or bus analyzer, etc
Knowledge of hardware communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, etc
Enthusiasm for early-stage ideation, concept development through designing for mass production and life cycle support
Strong collaboration and communication skills for working with global design hubs in Denmark, London, and Singapore
A builder with passion for creatively using technology as a vehicle to deliver truly incredible play experiences to children around the world!
