Senior Woo-Commerce Storefront Manager/ Web Developer

PGS Gold & Coin is a growing, family-owned precious-metals and rare-coin company based in Chicagoland. They are seeking a Senior Woo-Commerce Storefront Manager/Web Developer to manage and optimize their Woo-Commerce storefront, develop and maintain the website, and implement digital marketing strategies.

Responsibilities

Managing and optimizing the Woo-Commerce storefront
Developing and maintaining the website
Overseeing online product listings
Implementing digital marketing strategies
Analyzing website performance
Troubleshooting technical issues
Ensuring secure and efficient customer online transactions
Collaborating with other departments to align ecommerce initiatives with broader business objectives
Maintaining and updating product pages, category pages, landing pages, banners, promotions, and educational content
Ensuring smooth site navigation, checkout flow, and UX/UI are clean, intuitive, and conversion-focused
Coordinating updates, plugins, extensions, and several third-party integrations
Overseeing fraud prevention, chargeback mitigation, and secure payment processing
Performing QA testing before and after updates or deployments
Ensuring brand consistency across all web properties
Maintaining website security best practices
Managing backups, access controls, admin permissions, and incident responses
Troubleshooting failed orders, checkout issues, and other errors
Monitoring reviews, feedback, and customer behavior trends
Training internal staff on website and e-commerce systems as needed
Optimizing product listings and content for SEO (Titles, Meta Descriptions, Structured Data...)
Creating and testing Promotions, Bundles, Seasonal Campaigns, and other Special Offers
Collaborating on Email Marketing, SMS Campaigns, and Retargeting efforts for maximum marketing
Monitoring Conversion Rates, Bounce Rates, Cart Abandonment and other SEO Metrics
Managing Odoo synchronization with Online Product Catalogs, Pricing APIs, SKUs, Images and Descriptions, Variants, and Inventory and Orders
Maintaining the APIs and Webhooks used to provide a smooth and accurate User Experience

Qualification

Required

8+ years of experience managing e-commerce platforms in a B2B and/or B2C environment
Proficiency with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Magento, Shopify, BigCommerce) and integration with ERP/CRM systems
Experience with web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) and a working knowledge of SEO/SEM best practices
Experience testing website functionality, features, releases, and integrations in a production or staging environment
Experience collaborating across departments including IT, marketing, sales, operations, and external vendors
Understanding of e-commerce compliance regulations and security best practices
Hands-on e-commerce website experience
Direct experience in design, storefront management, optimization, and development
Experience with inventory-driven and ERP-integrated environments
Responsive Web Design: 8 years (Required)
WordPress: 8 years (Required)
Woo-commerce: 8 years (Required)
SEO: 8 years (Required)
Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JS and any other required languages
Solid understanding of UI/UX principles and customer journey optimization
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate findings into improvements and business results
Excellent problem-solving ability, including diagnosing and resolving technical issues efficiently
Strong communication and collaboration skills across internal teams and external partners
Tech-savvy with a commitment to staying current on e-commerce tools, trends, and best practices
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines

Preferred

Knowledge of digital marketing tools, automation, and customer engagement strategies
Experience with product information management (PIM) systems
Google Analytics: 8 years (Preferred)
Keyword research: 8 years (Preferred)
