Responsibilities
Conduct research, studies and analyses to ensure that system safety engineering requirements and specifications are incorporated into the design of systems from concept phase throughout a systems life cycle
Employ existing guidelines and instructions, guidance from higher-level system safety engineers, experience, and independent judgment to plan and accomplish task objectives
Qualification
Required
A Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering or Software discipline is required
3+ years of related experience
U.S. Citizenship
Specific experience in any of the following areas is a plus: Heavyweight and/or lightweight torpedoes, especially with actual torpedo safety, Combat Systems, Range System safety, Unmanned Undersea Vehicles (UUV), Battery safety
Preferred
Software Safety Analysis
WSESRB Interactive Safety Environment (WISE) training
MIL-STD-882 training
