Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an Engineering Technician to support data center operations. The role involves ensuring the reliability and availability of electrical, mechanical, and HVAC equipment while maintaining high performance and minimizing operating costs.

Responsibilities

Supervise contractors who perform servicing or preventive maintenance
Perform limited maintenance tasks to include: filter changes, battery system PMs, and Rack PDU & Rack ATS replacements
Perform root cause analysis for operational issues
Troubleshoot facility and rack level events
Ensure all personnel on-site follow safety protocols
Work on-call and a rotating schedule as needed
Take daily operational readings and provide metrics reporting to senior engineers
Perform basic support concepts such as ticketing systems, root cause analysis, and task prioritization

Required

1+ years of electrical or mechanical, or 1+ years of data center or mission critical facilities (example: hospital, military facility, public safety facility, etc.) experience
High school or equivalent diploma

2+ years of data center engineering experience
