Responsibilities
Develop a web application that allows users to configure FDC specifications
Implement user input functionality through the web interface to generate XML configuration files
Validate test results and apply updates to the existing Discover FDC application
Gain a deep understanding of how Discover FDC works and its integration with manufacturing processes
Work with databases to retrieve appropriate actions required for FDC spec configuration
Partners with other team members or groups to share knowledge and learnings
Prepares end of internship report and presentation
Adheres to all safety policies and procedures as required
Performs other duties of a similar nature or level
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
Knowledge of web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
Familiarity with Visual Basic, .NET, C#, Node.js, Python, databases (SQL)
Understanding of XML structure and parsing
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to learn new technologies quickly and apply them effectively
Knowledge of REST APIs and data exchange formats (XML, JSON)
Knowledge of and ability to use MS Office, including Word, Excel, Power Point, and Access to analyze data, create documents, spreadsheets, and presentations
Ability to work independently and collaborate in a team environment
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with employees and management
Ability to comply with all safety policies and procedures
Demonstrated prioritization and organizational skills
Demonstrated time management skills
Demonstrated problem-solving and trouble shooting skills
Flexible and able to prioritize
Preferred
Experience or interest in Spotfire for data visualization is a plus
