Crane Inspection Supervisor

Responsibilities

Oversee and manage contractors conducting inspections of cranes and lifting equipment to ensure compliance with safety regulations and manufacturer guidelines
Develop and implement inspection schedules, protocols, and checklists for contractors to follow
Review and verify the accuracy and completeness of inspection reports submitted by contractors
Identify, document, and report any defects or issues with cranes based on contractor reports and recommend corrective actions
Ensure all inspection records are accurately maintained and up-to-date
Coordinate with maintenance teams and contractors to address any identified issues and oversee the repair and maintenance process
Stay informed about industry regulations, safety standards, and technological advancements related to cranes and lifting equipment
Provide guidance and support to contractors to ensure they are equipped with the necessary tools and knowledge
Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and adherence to safety protocols
Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate potential hazards associated with crane operations
Participate in internal and external audits and inspections as required

Required

Experience in crane inspection, maintenance, or a related role
In-depth knowledge of crane operations, safety standards, and regulatory requirements

Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficient in using inspection tools and software
Ability to travel to various job sites as required
