The Lab Engineer will be responsible for troubleshooting technical issues, developing standard operating procedures, and leading process improvement initiatives in a fast-paced lab environment.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in the SSL lab environment
Develop and maintain SOPs for lab operations and equipment
Implement safety protocols and ensure compliance with all safety standards
Lead process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce errors
Conduct root cause analysis for lab incidents and implement corrective actions
Collaborate with engineering teams to validate new hardware and software solutions
Train team members on proper lab procedures and safety protocols
Document technical issues, resolutions, and process changes

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent work experience
1+ years of experience in a technical lab environment
Experience writing and implementing SOPs
Knowledge of safety protocols and compliance requirements
Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Experience with process improvement methodologies

Preferred

Experience with lab equipment calibration and maintenance
Knowledge of IT infrastructure and networking concepts
Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies
Experience with data analysis and reporting
Background in continuous improvement frameworks (Six Sigma, Lean)
Strong technical writing skills
