Responsibilities
Design power distribution, lighting, and related electrical systems for commercial and institutional buildings in Pittsburgh
Lead electrical engineering projects from concept through construction administration
Prepare detailed drawings and specifications using AutoCAD and Revit (engineers complete their own drafting)
Coordinate with architects, mechanical and plumbing engineers, and building owners
Ensure compliance with NEC and local building codes applicable in Pittsburgh, OH
Manage project budgets, schedules, and client communications
Review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and provide construction phase support
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical quality control
Qualification
Required
7+ years of experience as an Electrical Engineer in an MEP or architectural engineering consulting environment
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering
Professional Engineer (PE) license required
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit (hands-on drafting required)
Experience designing electrical systems for markets such as higher education, municipal, recreation, medical office buildings, retail, hospitality, or light manufacturing
Strong understanding of NEC and commercial building codes
Stable employment history in consulting engineering (candidates primarily from utilities, manufacturers, or long-term contract roles will not be considered)
