Responsibilities
Act as the internal legal point person in a fast-moving environment, owning day-to-day legal operations with a particular focus on healthcare/business contracting, employment matters, and compliance
Serve as the primary internal legal advisor, managing day-to-day legal matters independently
Coordinate with and manage outside counsel
Qualification
Required
J.D. from an accredited law school and member in good standing of at least one U.S. state bar
Substantial hands-on experience with healthcare and business contracting
Demonstrated employment law experience, including handling terminations, employee relations issues, and risk management in a dynamic setting
Ability to serve as the primary internal legal advisor, managing day-to-day legal matters independently
Experience coordinating with and managing outside counsel
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely
Preferred
Experience as a first or second in-house attorney at a startup or high-growth company strongly preferred
