Reimbursement Specialist
LHH is a growing healthcare organization seeking an experienced Reimbursement Specialist to support reimbursement, budgeting, and financial reporting functions. The role involves preparing and analyzing Medicare Cost Reports, supporting financial statements, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
Prepare and analyze Medicare Cost Reports and other state/federal reports
Support monthly financial statements, statistical reporting, and variance analysis
Assist with IRIS submissions and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
Support annual operating and revenue budget preparation
Maintain internal databases for reporting and community benefit tracking
Collaborate with department managers to collect, validate, and review financial data
Perform ad hoc financial analysis and reporting projects as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
2–3+ years of hospital accounting experience required
Direct reimbursement experience with Medicare/Medicaid cost reporting
Strong understanding of Medicare Cost Reports, DSH, and how the General Ledger impacts revenue and budgeting
Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, formulas, Excel 365 proficiency)
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Preferred
Experience with Lawson or Axiom budgeting software
