Responsibilities
Following up on all Appeals Team appeals, striving to minimize lost revenue and payer disputing and rebilling deadlines
Conducting analysis on denials and identifying trends that present process improvements and revenue protection opportunities
Reviewing and recommending next steps to team members for all denials related to Appeals Team escalation
Reviewing mail correspondence pertaining to audit review determinations and DRG related post audit reviews and attending any related workgroup/meetings for department information
Qualification
Required
3 Years Computer Skills are required including Microsoft Excel
Skills in defining problems, collecting data and interpreting billing information
Working knowledge of insurance industry and terminology required
Preferred
3 Years Insurance follow-up and or denial management experience in healthcare environment
