Quality Control Engineer-Security Clearance Eligibility Required
AVT Simulation is an Orlando-based company specializing in systems integration and modeling and simulation solutions. They are seeking a Quality Control Engineer to ensure products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements, involving extensive testing, documentation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities
Execute manual and automated testing to identify defects and ensure the quality of products and received items
Develop and execute test cases and checklists to confirm adherence to quality standards and specifications
Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures and inspection plans
Document and report defects via multiple reporting portals
Collaborate on the creation of test plans and strategies to ensure thorough testing coverage
Utilize and develop automated testing tools to improve efficiency (e.g., CMM)
Maintain detailed records of test results, defects, and resolution steps to support progress tracking and audit readiness
Semi-familiar with standards for finishing, Fed, etc
Identify and implement enhancements to the quality control processes within AVT
Stay informed on the latest QC methodologies, tools, and industry trends to enhance personal and team capabilities
Support the development and delivery of best practices and compliance requirements
Work closely with engineering, production, manufacturing, and QA to identify and resolve issues
Collaborate on the integration of quality assurance and quality control processes
Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications
Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of electrical and mechanical parts
Perform root cause analysis (RCA) to identify root causes of quality issues and lead corrective and preventive actions requests (CAPARs)
Ensure proper testing of electrical systems (continuity, insulation, functional testing) and mechanical assemblies
Analyze quality data and prepare reports, metrics, and documentation
Support supplier quality evaluations and incoming material inspections
Knowledge of how to read engineering drawings, schematics, BOMs, and specifications to ensure compliance
Qualification
Required
Experience in quality control or quality engineering (typically 2–5+ years)
Knowledge of quality tools and methodologies (e.g., SPC, FMEA, Six Sigma, 8D)
Experience with inspection techniques and measurement tools
Familiarity with quality management systems (QMS) and regulatory standards
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills
Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities
The candidate shall be eligible to obtain a secret security clearance
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience (Four years of experience may substitute for two years of educational requirements)
Experience in electro-mechanical assembly, control panels, motors, sensors, and industrial equipment
Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices
Knowledge of regulatory or industry standards relevant to electrical and mechanical products
Quality certifications (CQE, Six Sigma Green Belt, etc.)
Experience with supplier quality management and audits
