Traveling Superintendent

Core Talent Services is looking for a Traveling Superintendent to oversee construction projects from initiation through completion. This role involves ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget while coordinating with project management and field leadership.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the Project Manager on scheduling, production goals, budget tracking, and weekly work planning
Supervise multiple onsite crews working in various areas simultaneously
Coordinate and schedule the activities of tradespeople, subcontractors, laborers, and other professionals
Enforce site safety protocols and company policies
Conduct safety meetings, quality control inspections, and compliance reviews
Address safety concerns, violations, and operational deficiencies in a timely manner
Partner with the Project Manager to develop and maintain detailed project schedules, including short-term lookahead plans
Monitor daily production and track progress against established goals
Identify production challenges and collaborate with quality control and field leadership to implement corrective actions aligned with contract requirements
Document daily site activities, conditions, delays, and issues through comprehensive reporting
Prepare and submit required documentation, including daily reports, time tracking, safety analyses, and meeting records
Coordinate procurement and timely delivery of materials, equipment, and supplies
Ensure all work complies with contract documents, drawings, specifications, submittals, and applicable regulations
Maintain consistent communication and coordination with project management to ensure transparency and alignment
Attend project meetings and provide knowledgeable updates regarding site conditions, scheduling, and coordination efforts
Provide regular progress updates to internal teams, stakeholders, and clients
Collaborate with project managers, clients, architects, engineers, government representatives, and subcontractors to address project needs and resolve issues
Serve as the primary point of contact for field-related inquiries and decision-making
Perform additional duties as assigned

Required

Willingness and ability to travel extensively as required by project assignments
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work effectively under pressure and solve problems proactively
Skilled at coordinating diverse teams and managing multiple concurrent tasks
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical plans
Ability to pass required background checks for access to secure work locations
Minimum of 5–10 years of experience supervising construction projects
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software platforms
Certification or demonstrated ability to operate construction equipment such as skid steers, telehandlers, forklifts, and aerial lifts

Preferred

Experience in specialty construction disciplines
OSHA 30 certification (or equivalent); current First Aid and CPR certification
