Director - Community Day Services Program

CSI is seeking a Program Director for their Community Day Services, responsible for overseeing day program services within an ICF/DD facility. Responsibilities

Manage all day service operations delivered within the ICF/DD partner facility
Supervise, mentor, schedule, and evaluate DSPs assigned to day programming
Lead DSPs with clear expectations, coaching, and accountability
Ensure structured programming that integrates meaningful activities appropriate for medically fragile individuals
Coordinate with the ICF/DD Direct Care Coordinator to ensure consistency in care, communication, and staffing
Partner with nursing, therapists, and behavioral support teams to ensure individuals receive appropriate and safe day services
Attend care team meetings as needed
Ensure day services are incorporated seamlessly into each individual’s active treatment and ISP goals
Ensure all day services meet federal ICF/DD standards, state DHS/CDS regulations, and agency policies
Maintain compliance with documentation requirements ensuring accurate, timely documentation and adherence to active treatment expectations
Oversee implementation of behavioral supports, positioning plans, therapy carryovers, and medical protocols during day services
Conduct ongoing quality audits of activities, engagement, staff interactions, and records
Ensure DSPs receive specialized training to support complex medical needs
Develop staff through coaching, professional development, and competency checks
Partner with ICF nursing/therapy teams for cross-disciplinary training
Manage scheduling, timekeeping, and staffing patterns for all day service personnel
Track attendance, and documentation compliance
Maintain supply inventory, equipment needs, adaptive materials, and environmental safety

Required

Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Work, Education, Health Care Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
3–5 years of experience supporting individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities
Supervisory experience overseeing DSPs or large direct care teams
Experience working with medically fragile populations, clinical teams, or high-acuity settings
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Knowledge of ICF/DDD regulations, CDS standards, and person-centered practices
Familiarity with clinical documentation systems, scheduling platforms, and compliance tools
